Friendship is a dude coming over at 11:00 at night after he got off work to rant and converse about video games and anime.

I'm such a geek. ^_^

Anyways, today went well. I had to be at work at 9:30, and the previous night I think went to bed around 4...almost 5, I think...but anywayss, I woke up tired. A breakfast burrito, glass of milk, and short ride to work later, my day started....and...somehow, it actually started off well. I got what I needed to get done completed, I had a few slices from the lunch buffet, and I did deliveries in beautiful weather.

I'm serious, it's about time the weather got like this. The sky was clear, the sun was out bright and shining, and I didn't even have to turn on the heat in order to keep my car warm for the pizzas! I went to people's doors in 50-degree weather, finally shedding my jacket, and enjoying this beautiful...beautiful day. I'm sure were it possible, the sun could have hung there in the sky with an amateurly drawn smiley face.

Then the rains came.

I heard over the radio that Lake County had a severe storm warning that was to last until almost 4...but when I looked towards that direction, the sky seemed clear enough. An hour or so later, though, the sky to the west darkened ominously more, as a dark, puffy sheet of light-blocking clouds headed straight in our direction. Finally they were over us and it seemed like it would pass...but then the seams of the heavens slowly began to come apart...then they just ripped wide open.

I don't think I've ever thought the windshield to my car was going to break from rain, but that's honestly what it sounded like for a bit while I was out there on the road. Loud hits against the windshield almost sounded like "crack" after steady "crack". But I kept driving, and with the windshield wipers almost on their full setting. Thankfully when I returned back to Hut of 'Za HQ, I was met with a blessing in disguise. The computer had gone down, and until it was back up "there's to be absolutely nothing done!! No pizzas will be made, no orders will be taken, and nobody will be cashed out!" Sue barked out. So~...while it poured and the rain hammered upon all that was unshielded, I happily worked inside cleaning dishes. Just about everybody around me seemed nervous, contrasting against my apparent upbeat mood of the time. So what else am I supposed to do, except sing...?

"Al~ways look on...the bri~ght side of li~fe...doo-doot, doo-doot, doo-doot doo-doot doo-doo~t...."

...you know, now that I've listened to it...actually the song isn't that happy. :\ Anyways, they let me out of work on time, though I wanted to stay after a bit to help them out with the aftermath of the computer crash. No dice, though. I came home, had a discussion with Mom about my sleeping habits a little, had dinner, had computer time, reached the end of the internet...somehow...again, and then I got a phonecall from Darrell, wondering if he could come over later. 'Course I agreed.

I'm wondering if he's been wanting to hang out with me more because of a debt he owes me, or if rather he actually has missed seeing and hanging out with me. I think it might actually be the latter first spurned on by the former. It was nice getting to sit down and chat with him a bit. I'm still trying to teach him of internet culture (i.e., "all your base", domo-kun, Trogdor, l33t, etc., etc.). He's catching on quick.

Anyways, my feet are cold and I find myself in current need of a kleenex, so I'm going to end this for now. Take care, person who's reading this! :)
